My bike wheels spatter mud all over my boots.
The water spatters noisily out of the hot fat.

I like fruit much better when it is fresh off the tree.

I have an older brother and two younger brothers.

Pippin is the name of a type of eating apple.
I began to ponder on what I had seen that day.
In the box I found a bobbin and a binder of notes.
He sounded like a baboon with his loud banter.
The thick walls are necessary to deaden the sounds.
I had to vacuum the room because of the cat’s dander.

I found a little butterfly cocoon under the leaf.

In the mountains there was a huge condor in the sky.
There was uproar when the team scored a goal.
The operator of this crane is not available today.
I found some knitting yarn in the local shop.
I live in a cottage over yonder behind the trees.

The heron is a very large bird that eats fish.
The lion is a very efficient hunter of its prey.
My step-brother will be coming to visit us today.
They told me that this person is an awful backbiter.
To foregather means to gather together or assemble.
To ingather means to gather in a harvest or similar.

I will not be pandering to her whims anymore.
I was pondering the difficulty when the phone rang.
The mob were plundering the shops they had smashed.
The wood was splintering and breaking into pieces.
This firm has been tendering for the work for years.
The horses were all cantering around the big field.

The people will not be surrendering to the invading soldiers.
All this additional work is hindering me from writing the report.
The child was wondering what to buy in the sweet shop.
The ladies were powdering their faces ready for the party.
This person will be tutoring our students all this term.
I have been embroidering flowers onto the dress.

I took a picture of the strange structure in the field.
He was a structural engineer in the building industry.
The factory is structurally sound and needs no repairs.
The doctor found a fracture in his arm bone.

A captor is a person who captures another.

I bought an old typewriter and learned how to type.

He spends a lot of time doing typewriting practice every day.
I have some typewritten papers describing the machinery.*
We had the most wonderful time at the hotel last night.
This house is wonderfully warm with the new windows.
I would rather be at the beach than in the office.
He was a very fast writer of shorthand in the law courts.
